• FAFSA opens October 1st, 2026.  Any senior considering a 2 year college, 4 year college/university, trade school, or work study program needs to apply.  Click on the FAFSA tab to help you get started. Our final FAFSA Night was held in early February, but if you need any assistance, you can contact the TMCC or UNR department of financial aid and they will set an appointment to meet with you on their campus.

• UNR Orientation: Students beginning classes in the fall semester (August 2026) must complete 3 parts to Orientation:  Academic Advising, Wolf Pack Preview on-line training, and Orientation Day (in person).  This is separate from Nevada Fit but the registrations are linked together.  Registration opens Monday, March 23rd at 12:00 PM.  Head to:  https://www.unr.edu/orientation/summer for Orientation information and to set up your WolfCard. 
• TMCC Workshops on Campus: completed for Spring 2026

• UNR Nevada Bound Schedule and Registration: For prospective students and families. Tour the campus; learn about the many degree programs, colleges, athletics, clubs, and student life; tour a dorm; learn about financial aid, scholarships, FAFSA, tuition, and housing and so much more.  Click HERE for the 2026 winter/spring schedule and registration.

• TMCC Open House:  TMCC will give tours throughout the spring and summer.  Head to TMCC.edu for more information. 

• TMCC Nevada Promise Scholarship: Next steps: If you didn't attend the orientation and class registration workshop held at Debbie Smith, you can still complete orientation on-line and then make an appointment with an academic advisor to set up your class schedule for Fall 2026.

• Scholarship Reporting:  report all scholarships to Mrs. Rice by May 18th.  Be prepared to show evidence of scholarship (letter, email, MyNevada account, etc).

• Credit Transfer - Have you earned credit through TMCC, UNR, or another institution while in high school?  Are you currently enrolled in dual-credit classes?  You need to request an official transcript to be send to your school of choice.  This will NOT automatically happen for you.  UNR Credits = https://www.unr.edu/admissions/records/services/transcripts                        TMCC Credits = https://www.tmcc.edu/admissions/transcript-services                                         Transcript requests from one Nevada institution to another are free.  Transcripts sent out-of-state will require a fee.
